They are amazing animals and really show how smart they are on the
shows where they perform synnchronised leaps, balance balls on their
heads and jump through hoops.
They seem to really enjoy it and the
trainers say it keeps their brains fit and keeps the animals happy and
occupied.
While it's true that they don't have much time to get too
bored, they are missing out on their normal life in pods in the ocean.
While the shows definitely make us all to appreciate those animals more
and indirectly helps their conservation, the animals kept in captivity
do have shorter life spans and reproduce less than do dolphins
in the wild.
