Northern Bottlenose Whale is an
interesting animal.
Its latin
name is Hyperoodon ampullatus,
and it is
found in northern oceans.

It can be
up to almost 10
meters long and weigh up to 7.5 tonnes.
It has got a short beak, short
flippers and curved dorsal fin. It is found in Arctic waters and unlike
the Southern
Bottlenose Whale,
it was hunted quite heavily during the whaling days. It dives
quite
deep and it eats different kind of marine animals such as fish,
holothurians, squid and sea stars.
